SHIFT MANAGER
Job Description:
On-the-job training and orientation will be provided. Iron, Operate or tend washing or dry-cleaning machines to wash or dry-clean industrial articles, such as cloth garments, blankets, draperies and linens. Short-term on-the-job training will be provided. Ability to work with others in a close proximity is a MUST. Bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time will be required. You are required to use your hands to handle, control and feed articles into the machines in a repetitive movement. Must be prepared to work in hot temperatures.
Education/ Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Laundry experience is a PLUS.
Physical / Mental Requirements:
* May be at an industrial setting with heat/cold and distracting noise levels.
* Good hand-eye coordination
* Must be able to stand for 8n or 10 hour shifts
* May be required to bend, reach and/or lift up to 25 lbs
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds
* Able to stand on feet and work in hot temperatures for several hours.
Second shift starts at 3:30 pm

Position Summary:
Responsible for completing processing of linen to meet quality and efficiency standards.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Standing, bending and twisting for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement using hands to feed articles into the machines
- Contact with others (face-to-face) in groups and individual
- Includes exposure to hot atmosphere, sounds and noise levels that can be distracting
- Repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over
- Work with others in a group or team
- Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people
- Iron, Operate extractors and driers, or direct their operation
- Load or unload material into machinery
- Spread fabric or clothing article on worktable or ironing board
- Maintain consistent production quality
