We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality plants and remaining up to date with the latest garden trends.ResponsibilitiesPreparing soil and growing media for production.Planting, pruning, cutting, deadheading, pinching, trimming to shape.Spacing plants and Fertilizing with granular or liquid fertilizer.Shipping products and cleaning work areas.Transporting plant materials in greenhouse areas.Loading and unloading plants using small farm equipment; unloading and restocking for storage.Filling flats with potting soil in preparation for planting; planting plugs or seedlings into flats.Tagging planted flats with appropriate picture tags and watering flats by hand; placing flats in growing area for finishing.Placing pots/baskets with potting soil; transplanting one or more plants per container as specified by supervisor.Watering completed containers and preparing them for finishing in the growing area.Installing hangers and tags on pots or baskets if required, and placing watering tubes into containers to facilitate irrigation.All other duties associated with a commercial greenhouse.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, kneeling, and pulling.Ability to work in hot, humid weather for extended periods.Ability to pull, carry and lift at least 5 pounds, up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
