The ABB QCS Service Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of ABB hardware and software, with a focus on electrical and mechanical support. This role requires working independently or as part of a small site team in Crystal Springs, MS, and involves supporting projects, upgrades, new installations, and advanced services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of quality control hardware and software, including sensors, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Address customer service issues, answer questions, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide 24-hour emergency support on a rotational basis.
• Document maintenance tasks accurately.
• Participate in projects such as upgrades, new installations, and new functionality, coordinating with other teams.
• Ensure safety by completing assigned training and following HSE policies.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a related field with 2+ years of electrical/electronics, instrumentation, or process control experience, or HS diploma/GED with 4+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment (voltmeters, multi-meters).
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude with a basic understanding of electrical theory and safety.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical systems using drawings.
• Experience diagnosing electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC.
• Comfortable with basic hand tools.
• Basic understanding of the paper-making process and process control is a plus.
• Exposure to DCS programming and troubleshooting is beneficial.
