Supervises workload and training for rebar detailing team. Ensures drawings meet engineering requirements.Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities* Supervises customer projects for the detailing team, reports performance issues, and creates work schedules.* Supervises the training of entry level Detailers in detailing structural rebar manually or by using Computer Aided Design.* Generates accurate placement drawings for submittal and for field reinforcing placement purposes.* Communicates with customers and the Fabrication Manager to ensure scheduling expectations are reasonable and timely.* Communicates with customers and/or Designers to clarify missing or unclear information pertaining to the reinforcing requirements of a project.* Gather details of the project from the customer and schedules with the rebar shop.* Provides oversight in reviewing plans and draws out specifically how the rebar should be bent, cut, and sized.Nature and Scope* Experience provides solutions.* Ensures that work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures.* Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.Work Environment* Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.* Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.Education and Experience* Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification.
