GROUNDSKEEPER

Gorman & Company is looking for a part time Groundskeeper to work approximately 20-25 hours per week. Groundskeeping is one of the most important jobs for maintaining community housing properties in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our residents. Gorman & Company is looking for an experienced part time groundskeeper who is committed to providing first class groundskeeping / landscape services as part of a collaborative maintenance team.

A day in the life of a Groundskeeper:

• Work with our team to perform grounds maintenance such as lawn services, maintaining shrubs and gardens, spraying insecticides and clean-up.
• Outdoor building maintenance - painting, light bulbs, install and/or maintain fences.
• Assist outside contractors and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Assist in supplies inventory control and upkeep of all ground's equipment.
• Complete corrective maintenance by completing service requests.
• Assist with unit preparation to include painting, cleaning, repairing and/or replacing appliances, plumbing, and/or electrical fixtures.
• Emergency maintenance/On-Call when needed.

What do I need to qualify to be a Groundskeeper?

• Previous groundskeeping / landscaping / maintenance experience required.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to operate lawn equipment.
• Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
• Good safety habits.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
