Position Overview:

Seemann Composites, LLC Security Specialist is responsible for supporting the Director of Security and Compliance through administrative tasks and document control tasks. All required relevant training will be provided through Seemann Composites. The Security Specialist role includes Document control activities, such as registering and receipting incoming and outgoing documents, as well as maintaining an accurate inventory of these documents. The Security Specialist will assist the Director of Security with auditing certain activities, such as area reviews, contract program computer inventories, monitoring Security training and briefing certificates, and assist with planning and scheduling briefings. The Security Specialist will also assist in multiple other Security administrative tasks required by the NISPOM, ITAR, OPSEC, contractual requirements, or Seemann Composites' policy requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist in preparing Security documentation regarding Security policies and procedures for safeguarding national security information, company proprietary information and other supporting data.
  • Provide support for day-to-day security activities that include ensuring scheduled activities are appropriately documented, monitored and closed.
  • Scan and maintain documentation provided by the Director regarding vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities
  • Assist in preparing documentation and updating procedures and training for the Operations Security program.
  • Assist with semi-annual COMSEC audits, ensuring results documentation is distributed to appropriate agencies.
  • Complete document transmittal documentation, to include couriering information to and from FEDEX, USPS, etc., as needed.
  • Assist Director with facility self-inspection, corrective actions (as assigned), and other inspections as needed.
  • Update and track documentation for all corrective actions resulting from compliance reviews
  • Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff
  • Assist with documentation and recording reports of security violations as well as perform research and supporting review activities as assigned by the Director of Security.
  • Assist with uploading documentation into the US Government databases, as directed and provided by the Director.
  • Experience with DISS, NISS, and/or eMASS.
  • Knowledge of the NISPOM CFR and ITAR rules.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent administrative certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Display outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • An ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Competent keyboard skills

Essential Physical Requirement:

Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day. Lifting weight, no more than 50 lbs. required. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, stretching, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing working in enclosed areas, and climbing stairs or ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The noise level in the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate.

You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, and hearing protection. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive collaborative communication with co-workers and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends. At times, the ability to work overtime also may be required.
