The Engineering Director - Polymers will lead the design, development, and production of advanced polymer and composite products. This role involves overseeing R&D projects and managing cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, logistics) to ensure successful product delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in polymer engineering, leadership in large-scale projects, and a knack for driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead complex polymer and composite projects from concept to delivery.Serve as the subject matter expert on polymer production processes and industry best practices.Develop project proposals, schedules, budgets, and ensure milestone delivery.Manage Integrated Product Teams (IPT) across engineering, program management, quality, logistics, and production.Lead engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.Oversee product and technical ownership, driving continuous improvement in design and production.Deliver technical reports, presentations, and proposals to internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications:Must hold a bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields (master's preferred).8+ years of experience in polymer engineering composites with proven leadership in large-scale projects.Expertise in polymer and composite materials design, fabrication, and testing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Deltek CostPoint).U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required; must obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.Desired Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Hands-on experience in polymer manufacturing and technical support for composite production.Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specifications.Experience leading R&D efforts and producing technical documentation.Proactive problem-solver with strong task prioritization and deadline management skills.Benefits:Medical InsuranceVision InsuranceDirect HirePaid time off$130k-$150k/annum depending on skillset and qualificationsSeniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: ManufacturingIndustries: Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
