Position Overview: Argo Biopharma is a Biotech focusing on developing siRNA-based therapeutics to address unmet medical needs. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist at Director/Senior Director level with expertise in development of antibody-siRNA conjugates. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in antibody discovery, bioconjugation, and downstream process development in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build and lead a team for antibody discovery, formatting, developability evaluation, bioconjugation and characterization.
2. Work with CMC group to establish SOP to scale up antibody production, bioconjugation and downstream processing.
3. Optimize infrastructure for the development of antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates.
4. Work with internal cross functional team and external partners, identify or build appropriate assays to support development of antibody-oligo nucleotide conjugates.
5. Design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies to assess feasibility and timely resolve key issues.
6. Mechanistic investigation into the delivery mechanisms and continue to iterate and improve.
7. Stay current with the state-of-the-art of targeted oligonucleotide delivery technologies and drive scientific innovation in the field.
8. Drive drug discovery programs from inception to clinical development.
9. Mentor and guide team members, foster a collaborative and high-performing research environment within the team.
10. Complete other tasks arranged by the superiors.

Qualifications:

1. PhD in Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field with minimal 10 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated track record in basic research and significant contributions to drug discovery.
2. Prior experience leading antibody-based drug discovery programs into clinical development is a must.
3. Prior experience in leading development of antibody oligonucleotide conjugates is highly preferable.
4. Must be proficient in antibody discovery, formatting, developability assessments.
5. Experienced in downstream processing of antibody and antibody conjugates and scale up.
6. Good understanding of various biophysical assays and cell-based assays such as but not limited to: receptor binding, internalization and cycling, ITC, BLI, LC-MS.
7. Experienced in preparation of IND filing documents, QC of regulatory documents.
8. Strong in cross function communication and coordination.
9. Strong skills in tackling complex issues.
10. Successful experience building and leading a productive team.
11. Must be self-motivated.
