Taber is headquartered in Russellville, Arkansas and operates manufacturing sites in Russellville and Gulfport, Mississippi. The Company is segmented into five operating units; Extrusion, Cast House, Fabrication, Friction Stir Welding, and Micro Extrusion.

Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager has overall responsibility for the human resource and safety functions as they relate to all Taber team members, including but not limited to employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, employment policies, personnel record-keeping, training and development, Affirmative Action, EEO, and compliance with HR laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures compliance
- Oversees recruitment, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions
- Oversees the administration of Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance
- Delivers new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals
- Maintains records of benefits plans participation, training, personnel transactions, and employee statistics for government reporting
- Manages and coordinates training for company policies, rules, and benefits
- Ensures the coordination of safety training to educate workers about safety policies and laws
- Advises management in the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
- Develops and maintains job descriptions
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Serves as facility EEO and AAP Coordinator, maintaining logs for the affirmative action plan
- Assists in the investigation of industrial accidents to minimize recurrence
- Oversees the processing of Workers Compensation Claims
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurance
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation
- Works with corporate legal counsel in managing actions resulting from discipline or discharge
- Coordinates and relays information regarding Union issues
- Maintains grievance logs and coordinates union/company meetings
- Works closely with the Plant Manager to address union issues
- Participates in all steps of the grievance process
- Participates in union negotiations as the contract term expires
- Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
- Follows safe work procedures
Education and Experience
- Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and corporate safety practices
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Must be capable of reading, writing, and understanding English
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and three to five years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
