Housekeeper

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas at the Hampton Inn Biloxi / Ocean Springs, MS. This role ensures that all rooms meet Hilton brand standards of quality and comfort, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, service areas, and public spaces as directed.
  • Replace and restock towels, amenities, and supplies in guest rooms.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Ensure all rooms meet Hilton brand standards for cleanliness and presentation before guest check-in.
  • Handle guest requests professionally and courteously when encountered during cleaning.
  • Properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.
  • Follow hotel safety and sanitation procedures, including OSHA and Hilton guidelines.
  • Maintain assigned housekeeping carts, closets, and supplies in neat and orderly condition.
  • Adhere to hotel grooming, uniform, and attendance standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting during the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 2530 pounds.
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and perform repetitive motions.
