As we continue to grow, we are looking for an innovative Prompt Engineer to optimize the language models that power our AI therapist, ensuring they deliver the most helpful and accurate responses to our users.

Position Overview:
The Prompt Engineer will play a critical role in refining and optimizing the language prompts used by our AI therapist. You will work closely with AI/ML engineers, psychologists, and content creators to design and test prompts that ensure the AI provides responses that are empathetic, contextually relevant, and aligned with therapeutic best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of language models, an eye for detail, and a passion for using AI to improve mental health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prompt Design & Optimization: Develop, test, and refine prompts to ensure that the AI therapist provides accurate, contextually appropriate, and empathetic responses across a wide range of scenarios.
• Collaboration with AI/ML Teams: Work closely with AI/ML engineers to understand the capabilities and limitations of our language models, and use this knowledge to create prompts that maximize the AI's effectiveness.
• Therapeutic Alignment: Collaborate with psychologists and content creators to ensure that prompts align with evidence-based therapeutic practices and ethical guidelines.
• User Experience Enhancement: Continuously improve the user experience by analyzing user interactions and feedback, and adjusting prompts to better meet user needs and expectations.
• A/B Testing & Experimentation: Design and conduct experiments to test different prompt variations, using data-driven insights to optimize performance and user satisfaction.
• Documentation & Guidelines: Create and maintain detailed documentation of prompt engineering processes, including best practices, testing methodologies, and guidelines for future development.
• Innovation & Research: Stay current with the latest advancements in AI language models and natural language processing (NLP), and apply this knowledge to innovate and enhance the AI therapist's capabilities.
• Ethical Considerations: Ensure that all prompt designs adhere to ethical standards, particularly in areas related to user privacy, consent, and mental health safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in natural language processing (NLP), AI, or a related field, with a strong focus on working with language models like GPT. Experience in mental health or digital health platforms is a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in prompt engineering, NLP, and working with large language models. Familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, or similar is beneficial.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design experiments, analyze data, and iterate on prompt designs to optimize outcomes.
• Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
• Creativity & Innovation: A creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative prompt strategies that enhance the AI's performance and user experience.
• Ethical Awareness: A deep understanding of the ethical considerations in AI, particularly in the context of mental health, with a commitment to creating responsible AI solutions.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications in AI or NLP are a plus.
