This role combines the responsibilities of field supervision with the ability to self-perform carpentry tasks, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, to spec, and with a high standard of workmanship.If you are a skilled carpenter with leadership experience and a passion for delivering quality work, we want to hear from you.Position Overview:As a Working Carpenter Superintendent, you'll be expected to lead by example-managing a team of tradespeople while also actively participating in the work. This position is ideal for someone who is not only an experienced carpenter but also confident in supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, reading blueprints, ensuring job site safety, and maintaining project quality from the ground up.This is a full-time position based in Gulfport, MS. Compensation is $25-$35 per hour, based on experience.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate carpentry crews and subcontractors on-sitePerform hands-on carpentry tasks including framing, formwork, trim, and layoutRead and interpret construction drawings and blueprintsEnsure work is being completed according to specifications, on time and within budgetMaintain a clean, safe, and organized worksiteCommunicate with project managers, vendors, and inspectors to ensure smooth workflowMonitor materials and supplies, and submit timely requests for necessary itemsLead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance on job sitesTroubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring quick and efficient resolutionsQualifications:Minimum 5+ years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleProficient in residential or light commercial construction methodsStrong knowledge of structural framing, finish carpentry, and related building tradesCapable of reading and understanding blueprints, shop drawings, and specsExcellent leadership, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and maintain quality control under pressureMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationMust own basic tools and personal protective equipment (PPE)Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screeningPreferred but Not Required:OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience with scheduling software or project tracking toolsHow to Apply:Submit your resume through our website: OREmail your resume directly to Please include "Working Carpenter Superintendent - Gulfport" in the subject line.Take the next step in your construction career with a team that values craftsmanship, leadership, and integrity.
