About the Role

Datadog's Technical Solutions (TS) organization is a global, high-impact team of approximately ~1,200 professionals responsible for delivering deep technical engagement at every stage of the customer lifecycle. This includes a broad spectrum of functions from Sales Engineering (SE) during pre-sales discovery, to Technical Account Management (TAM) and Implementation Services (IS) during onboarding and post-sales success, to Technical Support Engineering (TSE) and Product Solutions Architecture (PSA) driving scale, retention, and product feedback loops. These teams operate at the intersection of customer need, product innovation, and technical execution; making the TS org one of Datadog's most operationally complex and strategically important organizations.

As Vice President of Technical Solutions Operations (TSO), you will lead the internal infrastructure that powers this global organization. Your mission is to create the systems, processes, and data backbone that allows TS to scale with speed, clarity, and excellence. This role is not customer-facing, but it is deeply customer-impacting. You will lead and integrate three foundational pillars of the TS operations engine:

Systems Management & Business Process Engineering (BPE): Responsible for designing and maintaining the tools, workflows, and cross-functional processes that underpin the TS organization's day-to-day execution.

Program Management Office (PMO): Drives strategic planning, organizational alignment, operational cadence, and program delivery across the global TS org.

Data & Analytics (DA): Owns the analytics infrastructure and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into performance, productivity, and outcomes across every function in TS.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and operational multiplier to the five other VPs who lead each TS function, ensuring their teams are equipped with the infrastructure, insights, and governance needed to operate at scale. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, Strategy, People, Legal, and Finance to align systems, share data, and operationalize initiatives that span the company.

What You'll Do:

Lead and Scale Operational InfrastructureOwn vision, strategy, and execution for the BPE, PMO, and DA teams. Ensure their output is aligned with TS org goals and delivers measurable value at scale.

Design and Evolve Internal SystemsArchitect, implement, and iterate on technical systems and process frameworks that power TS operations. Prioritize automation, scalability, and intelligent (AI-augmented) workflows.

Run Operational Cadence and Planning Drive business operations for the TS org, including strategic planning, operational reviews, initiative tracking, and rhythm-of-business execution.

Centralize and Operationalize DataDeliver a unified data and analytics framework that enables real-time, reliable decision-making across the TS organization. Establish data standards, KPIs, and insights delivery mechanisms.

Be a Force Multiplier Across FunctionsPartner deeply with cross-functional teams—Product, Engineering, Strategy, Legal, and more—to improve processes, align goals, and increase organizational efficiency.

Build a World-Class Internal Ops TeamHire, coach, and scale a high-performing operations org. Foster an inclusive, growth-oriented culture focused on impact, agility, and accountability.

Who You Are:

10+ years of experience in technical operations, program management, systems engineering, or equivalent roles in fast-paced, high-growth tech companies.

5+ years managing multiple teams, including senior managers or directors, across disciplines such as internal systems, programs, or analytics.

Deep expertise in at least two of the following: Technical Program Management, Business Process & Systems Design, Internal Data Platforms & Analytics.

Proven success building and scaling internal systems that support large, distributed technical organizations.

Strong collaborator and communicator with the ability to influence at all levels and across a wide range of functions.

Highly organized and action-oriented, with a builder's mindset and passion for internal enablement.

Experience working in or supporting technical go-to-market and post-sales orgs is a plus.

Demonstrated interest in AI-native tooling, intelligent automation, and modern operational practices.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required

Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA) is preferred
