SCI is currently looking to add an NDT Level II to our team. As an NDT Level II, you will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including ultrasound, magnetic particle, and visual. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations at our facility in Gulfport, MS.

Job Title: NDT Level II
NDT Level II reports to the Quality Department
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledgeable of set up and standardize equipment, conduct tests, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and documentation.
- Experienced with the scope and limitations of the technique/methods in which they are certified.
- Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standard.
- Experienced in providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level I personnel in the technique/methods in which they are certified.
- Experienced with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method.
- Perform product evaluations using established nondestructive testing procedures and processes.
- Process documentation as objective quality evidence.
- Prior experience as NDT, preferred.
- Ability to accomplish inspection and testing activities across multiple projects.
- Ability to maintain test equipment and provide advance notification of equipment deficiencies.
- Proficient in performing dimensional inspection of products as assigned.
- Demonstrated capability to provide feedback during development of inspection procedures.
- Monitor nondestructive processes as part of continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High School Diploma or higher education level; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted depending on knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Minimum of (1) year experience in required skills and competencies.
- Previous PAUT Level II certification and PT Level II certification are a plus
- Experience in Ultrasonic inspection using longitudinal (compression) waves.
- Basic understanding of common Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) operations using ASME Y14.5.
- Ability to pass visual examination for near vision by reading Jager 1 eye chart (corrective lenses are allowed) and color perception capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors.
- Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or equivalent software.
- Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
- Must be available to work overtime and off shifts if necessary; although, not a regular occurrence.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English required.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.
- This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
- Must be currently eligible/authorized and able to provide proof of US Citizenship.
