  • Support the Company's mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.
  • Manage and drive Plant EHS compliance, management system, functions, and activities.
  • Maintain continuous communications with Corporate Area EHS Manager.
  • Accountable for ensuring all Associates have the necessary safety and environmental training, tools and materials to perform their tasks and responsibilities safely and efficiently.
  • Interface with federal, state, and local environmental agencies on Plant safety and environmental issues.
  • Lead the ISO 14001 process and enhance the environmental management system to drive environmental stewardship initiatives.
  • Team with Supervisors, Managers and Associates to integrate EHS into daily work activities.
  • Develop and deliver training and/or training tools on all relevant internal EHS initiatives and regulatory requirements.
  • This position is part of the Plant Management Team and reports to the Plant Manager.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an EHS/Occupational Safety or related field.
  • 7+ years EHS experience within a Plant environment; automotive metal stamping/assembly strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years solid EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate skills in JSRA, OSHA requirements including, control of hazardous energy (lockout), confined space, PPE Assessments, material handling, overhead crane, aerial lifts, etc.
  • Solid background in ergonomics.
  • Proven leadership abilities and maintain partnership with Plant and Corporate staff.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Advance proficiency MSOffice, EHS Systems, ERP systems, etc.
