Hydraulic Technician 1st Class

Hydraulic Technician 1st Class position is available. High school diploma, GED or equivalent industry-related experience. Five plus years of proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or marine/industrial environment preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Completion of a technical training program in hydraulics is preferred.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system failures using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Monitor equipment and machinery to detect early signs of malfunction or wear
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair or replace defective components such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and hoses
  • Interpret technical drawings, design specifications, service manuals, flowcharts and manufacturer instructions to repair, install and test machinery
  • Properly align and secure hydraulic components to ensure safe and efficient functionality
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs and inspections
  • Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems and components
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematic and blueprints
  • Operate diagnostic tools and machinery for system evaluations
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards

Position requires: ability to work in inclement weather, noisy areas, confined spaces, at heights. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Adherence to all safety procedures is mandatory; PPE and safety equipment is required.
