Performs journeyman level work in the installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, and repair of University distributed plant heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment. Responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks of HVAC systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Performs duties as requested by maintenance work orders upon request by all University personnel and students. Works with HVAC Technician or HVAC II level employes and contractors to calibrate and repairs pneumatic and DDC controls and regulates gauges and controls to proper settings for desired temperatures and humidity. Repairs residential and some commercial HVAC equipment and replaces thermostats, pneumatic/ DDC controls key components, compressors, motors, adding or replacement of refrigerant and air compressors.
