Responsibilities

• As a Poker Dealer: Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations applicable to the Poker Department; adhere to all gaming commission, company, and departmental policies and procedures; perform accurate and clear chip and cash transactions; inform the Poker Assistant Shift Manager of mistakes, disputes, or irregular play; verify clerical transactions by signature; assist customers with problems or requests; maintain a friendly, helpful, and courteous demeanor with customers and team members; perform any other duties as assigned by management.


• As a Poker Supervisor: Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations applicable to the Poker Department; supervise and direct all Poker team members; recommend changes to game spread, personnel, etc.; authorize credit and comps per policy; submit daily shift reports and keep the VP of Operations informed; assist with hiring, scheduling, training, counseling, evaluating, and termination of Poker team members; monitor Poker Room internal security; ensure all equipment is in good working order; resolve problems and disputes in the absence of other department heads; maintain gaming integrity while meeting or exceeding customer expectations for the shift; perform any other duties as assigned by VP or management.

• Ability to manage, motivate and supervise team members.


• Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to customer inquiries or complaints; ability to present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, probability and statistical theory; ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, analysis of variance, and related techniques.


• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract variables.


• Knowledge of database software; ability to obtain a Gaming Permit; must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training.


• Knowledge of casino games and operations; strong customer service skills; extensive supervisory and management experience in casino operations.


• Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods; vision requirements; awareness of surroundings and ability to work in a loud environment.
