Overview

I am looking for a hands-on EHS Manager to lead safety initiatives across a manufacturing facility, and create a culture where employees thrive in a safe, healthy environment. This role combines strategy, leadership, and day-to-day operational safety oversight.

What Youll Do

  • Identify hazards and manage risk to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ANSI standards.
  • Lead safety programs, policies, and awareness campaigns that engage employees at all levels.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Deliver and maintain training programs: new hire orientation, forklift, HazCom, PPE, lockout/tagout, hearing conservation, and more.
  • Manage emergency preparedness, first aid, and CPR programs, including training for first responders.
  • Partner with managers, engineers, and security teams to maintain safe, secure facilities.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and EHS regulations to continuously improve programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • CIH or CSP preferred.
  • 5+ years in EHS roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ANSI standards.
  • Experience leading multiple programs, audits, and training initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certified; instructor/trainer experience a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional.
