Responsibilities
- Maintain a quality assurance program
- Play a key role in ensuring coding compliance and accuracy
- Monitor the performance of Risk Adjustment Operations internally and with coding vendors
- Provide expertise on coding compliance for new and existing services, ensuring compliance with organizational, federal, state, and third-party requirements
- Assist in communicating information through presentations, reports, educational programs, memoranda, etc., by providing formal and informal education to QA specialists, coding vendors, and staff
- Report findings to Leadership in a timely, consistent, and effective manner and implement appropriate changes
- Support audit processes, ensure workflows and results are documented and maintained, and identify process improvements as needed
- Assist in developing an effective training program on correct coding techniques/practices
- Assist with training new auditors and staff as needed
- Create methods to share information on the program, quality, and initiatives with Management on a monthly cadence at minimum
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you will bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or 3–5 years related work experience as a coder with a minimum of 5 years of coding experience in risk adjustment (ACA and MA)
- Expert knowledge of Risk Adjustment
- Research and problem-resolution skills
- Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills
- Strong managerial, financial, and analytical skills
- Commitment to quality, customer focus, productivity, and process improvement
- Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization tactfully
- Experience overseeing remote (work-at-home) operations
- Ability to work independently with high productivity and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills conforming to professional standards
- Experience initiating, developing, and monitoring policies, internal controls, and operating standards
Compensation and Benefits
We are committed to a diverse team and equal employment opportunities. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is $78,000 — $92,000 USD. The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels; individual rates may differ based on level, responsibilities, skills, and experience.
Post-offer health screenings and vaccination requirements may be requested by clients. Any exemptions will be reviewed case-by-case by Datavant Human Resources, and exemptions may be available based on state law and individual circumstances. The job is not eligible for employment sponsorship.
