Job Summary
We're looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Communications to drive our narrative and elevate our brand. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll architect and execute a strategic communications vision, directly impacting our business objectives. You'll empower our team to craft compelling stories, amplify our thought leaders, and cultivate powerful media relationships that solidify our industry presence. Your expertise will be instrumental in positioning our executives as influential voices through strategic thought leadership initiatives and high-profile speaking engagements.
What you will do
- Narrative Development & Brand Elevation: Architect compelling narratives that showcase our vision, achievements, and executive thought leadership. Proactively seek awards and recognition to amplify our brand's reputation.
- Media Relations & Visibility: Cultivate strong media relationships, drive proactive outreach, and execute strategic media plans to secure high-impact coverage and enhance brand visibility.
- Integrated Communications Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of cohesive internal and external communication strategies with Manager, Internal Communications, ensuring consistent messaging and maximum engagement.
- Executive Thought Leadership: Develop and execute strategic communication plans for executives, crafting impactful speeches and presentations to elevate their industry presence.
- Crisis Management & Reputation Protection: Lead crisis communication strategies, ensuring timely and transparent communication to mitigate reputational risks.
- Global Communication Alignment: Coordinate global communication efforts to ensure a unified brand voice across all markets.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and inspire a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Strategic Partnerships & Collaboration: Manage PR agencies, consultants, and internal cross-functional teams to align communication initiatives with overall company objectives.
- Budget & Resource Management: Effectively manage communication budgets, prioritize projects, and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications
Must have:
- Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 3 or more years of management experience.
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Communications, with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering exceptional results.
- Strong storytelling skills
- Proficiency in Communications + Social Media software: Sprout, Meltwater
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent management and leadership skills and ability to attract, retain, motivate, develop and mentor team members for high performance
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to resolve disputes effectively
- Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills
- Outstanding independent decision making, analysis and problem solving skills
- Understand, interpret and act on financial information that contributes to business profitability
- Ability to plan and manage complex and successful projects; understand available resources, develop timeline, budget and assign areas of responsibility

The posted range for this position is $130,000-$147,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a target bonus not reflected in the posted range.
