Job responsibilities and duties include: Research, plan, design, code, test, deploy, and document high-quality software. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects. Participate in code reviews. Adhere to established software development standards. Facilitate design meetings with users, management, and architects. Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices. Engage in continuous improvement of one's own skill set, both technical and non-technical. Stay current on industry trends and best practices and promote their use as applicable. Develop a solid understanding of Medline's business domain and apply this to all software development activities. Collaborate professionally with customers and colleagues. Comply with all company policies and procedures and governmental regulatory mandates. This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained. Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following: 1. Java 2. Cloud and container-based development and deployment 3. Object oriented design principles and patterns 4. Spring framework. 5. RESTful web service development 6. JUnit, Mockito, or PowerMock 7. SQL 8. Git 9. Scrum No travel required.
