Job Details

Include: Minute-to-minute monitoring and control of the bulk electric power system under normal system conditions. Analysis and evaluation of the system, determination of restoration actions and implementation of those actions under abnormal system conditions. The ability to remain current in understanding and implementation of all NERC compliance standards. Education Requirements: A thorough understanding of the operation of an electric system is necessary. A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is desirable (not required) and may be considered in lieu of experience. Experience Requirements: Prior experience in Transmission Systems highly desired (Substations, Transmission Lines, Operations, or Protection & Controls). Extensive knowledge and/or experience in transmission system operations and characteristics is preferred.
