The Department of History at Princeton University has an occasional curricular need for lecturers to teach undergraduate seminars or precepts (sections) in areas such as the history of North and South America, Asia, Europe (including Great Britain), Africa, and history of science, and accepts applications in advance in the event the occasion arises where such lecturers are needed. Tasks include leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Appointments are subject to enrollments and may be for one or two semesters during the 2025-26 academic year, with potential renewal depending on departmental need. An advanced degree is required; PhDs or doctoral candidates preferred. Expected Salary Range: $81,700 - $88,000

The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
