Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Summer English Teacher to join our educational team. This temporary but impactful role focuses on teaching underperforming high school seniors, equipping them with the necessary skills and confidence to successfully transition to university-level studies. Ideal candidates will have at least a Masters degree in English or 18 hours completed significant coursework in English, blended with a strong desire and proven ability to work with students who have had academic challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and academic needs, ensuring alignment with the pre-university curriculum.
• Employ creative and best-practice teaching methodologies to foster an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Identify students strengths and areas for improvement through assessments and tailor instruction to meet individual needs.
• Develop language proficiency, critical thinking, and analytical skills to support students in achieving college readiness.
• Collaborate with academic advisors and university representatives to provide students with clear and achievable pathways to higher education.
• Maintain open and supportive communication with students, offering feedback and encouragement to build their confidence and motivation.

Required Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in English, or 18 hours in English courses.
• Proven experience working with underperforming or academically underdeveloped students.
