Project Engineer - Low Voltage

Description:

SEnergy, a growing and dynamic consulting engineering firm located in College Station, Houston, and the Texas Hill Country, is seeking a Project Engineer to focus on low voltage projects for our Power Generation group.

The successful candidate will have a systematic approach to problem solving with a high attention to detail.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design and implement low voltage electrical systems for Power Generation projects.
  2. Conduct detailed electrical calculations and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  3. Collaborate with designers, contractors, and other team members to develop electrical plans and specifications.
  4. Review project drawings and provide technical guidance on low voltage electrical systems.
  5. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure proper installation and functioning of low voltage electrical systems.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low voltage electrical systems.
  7. Participate in commissioning and testing of low voltage electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, effective communication skills (oral and written), 0-4 years industry experience.
  • Preferred: 5+ years experience, EIT or PE in Texas.

SKILLS:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in project management, spreadsheets, and word processing applications.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to listen, hear, see clearly, and perform sitting, standing, walking, and manual tasks.
