Position Overview:
The Head of Technology will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the company. You will lead the development, deployment, and scaling of our AI platform, ensuring that our technology is robust, secure, and aligned with our business goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and software development, as well as a passion for using technology to improve mental health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a technology roadmap that supports Effectaives vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product goals.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering and data science team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• AI Development: Oversee the development and optimization of AI models, particularly in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning, to enhance the capabilities of our AI therapist platform.
• Product Development: Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Psychology teams to develop and refine the AI therapist product, ensuring that technology decisions are informed by user needs and psychological best practices.
• Infrastructure Management: Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud-based infrastructure, including data storage, processing pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Data Management: Oversee the architecture and implementation of data systems, ensuring data integrity, compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and efficient data flow across the organization.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect user data and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners, ensuring that third-party services and tools are effectively integrated into our technology stack.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet Effectaives strategic objectives.
• Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation within the company and ensuring that our technology remains at the cutting edge.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in a technology leadership role, with a proven track record of building and scaling AI-driven products, preferably in the healthcare or mental health space.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of AI/ML, NLP, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure), data engineering, and software development practices.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, with strong project management skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technology strategy with business goals, making data-driven decisions that drive growth and innovation.
• Security & Compliance: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience with regulatory compliance in healthcare or related industries.
• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
