Role Summary

Provides guidance to procurement support staff in preparing purchase orders and maintaining procurement records.


Examples of Work Performed



  • Responsible for equipment tagging, tracking, and maintaining University property inventory records.

  • Identifies and applies university barcode numbers to property.

  • Serves as a liaison with University departments to assist with property accountability.

  • Investigates reports of stolen or missing items and prepares necessary documents reflecting findings.

  • Assists in the preparation and collection of salvage property items for disposal.

  • Provide support and assistance to faculty, staff, and vendors as needed.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Essential Functions



  • Drafts, organizes, updates and disseminates formal procurement records and purchase orders to the appropriate entities according to established guidelines and procedures.

  • Answers complex and escalated questions; provides information regarding purchasing to various individuals and groups based on set material or standards.

  • Provides guidance to less experienced staff members.


Minimum Education/Experience


Education: High School or Equivalent


Experience: Four Years Experience
