Electrical RA

Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States

Job Description: Marine Electrical apprentices will complete a program designed to give them maximum exposure to the complex electrical systems aboard naval vessels. The apprentice will receive special training in various areas to learn fundamental skills and techniques. The apprentice is assigned to a ship to begin a coordinated work rotation involving Layout/Installation, Hook Up and Test of various shipboard systems. These include lighting, power generation and distribution, interior communication, armament, fire control and electronics. As experience and knowledge are gained, the student aides in the training of newer apprentices.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a high school graduate or GED completion.
• Must provide the following information before an interview can be scheduled:
• High School transcript or GED transcript (A diploma is not acceptable)
• College or vocational transcripts or certificates
• DD214 if military

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS Scholar and/or Tech Master Certification(s)
• Ingalls Shipbuilder Academy
• Talent Development Lab
• Career Technical Education
