Job Overview

Under the direction of the Government Training Department, the Training Master Scheduler serves as the single point of contact for all matters pertaining to Apprentice Training (AT), Advanced Specialized Skill Training (AS), Individual Not Rating-specific professional development (INR), Individual Skill/Rating-specific functional training (ISR), and Pipeline Skill Progression (PSP) courses. The incumbent is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating training schedules for Seabee basic, intermediate, and advanced training at NCTC Gulfport and off-site facilities.

Work Model: Onsite

Salary Range: $78,000 - $92,000

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
• Develop, draft, and submit schedules for all AT, AS, INR, ISR, and PSP training courses.
• Manage course scheduling in NITRAS, CETARS, and the Master Course Reference File, ensuring compliance with NCTC, NETC, and CSFE directives.
• Maintain records and data for all courses conducted at NCTC Gulfport.
• Schedule and conduct weekly coordination meetings with course coordinators, NCG2, and tenant command training personnel.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and provide recommended resolutions to maximize training opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage class quota requests and enrollments using eNTRS.
• Provide reports and data on facility utilization, school costs, reimbursable billing, and scheduling metrics.
• Assist the Business/Financial Management Department Head with ERP planning and cost assessments related to course scheduling.
• Provide advance notice of training opportunities and approved schedule changes to Company Commanders, Course Managers, NCG2, and tenant training personnel.
• Ensure monthly Metrics brief is prepared and ready for presentation.
• Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a training scheduler.
• Practical knowledge of classroom and field training scheduling methods.
• Familiarity with Navy Seabee structure and construction-related vocations.
• Proficiency with NITRAS, CETARS, eNTRS, and other training management systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office systems.
• U.S. Citizen or legal resident alien.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.

Preferred:
• Prior experience drafting course curriculum or managing Navy training systems.
• Knowledge of Navy training policies, directives, and reporting requirements.

Physical Conditions:

Work is primarily performed in an office setting. Occasional monitoring and coordination may require presence at field construction sites, which involve minimal physical exertion. Incumbent must adhere to safety requirements and wear prescribed safety gear when required.

Work Environment:
The primary work environment is an office setting. Project site visits may involve exposure to typical risks and discomforts associated with construction environments.
