Warehouse Bailer And Warehouse Worker

Schedule/Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week Tuesday-Saturday

This position is responsible for:

Bailer Operates a bailer machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing. Loads and unloads trucks performing lifting of heavy objects on a regular basis. Assists in maintaining the neatness and orderliness of the warehouse area.

Warehouse Worker Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loads and fluffs clothes in the bailer machine to secure a solid bail of clothing with wire.
• Operates forklift to transport bail to storage truck.
• Unloads trucks of donated items being delivered to the warehouse.
• Performs heavy lifting of articles up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Stores shoes in storage areas.
• Collects and empties trash for the warehouse area.
• Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse area; sweeps floors and cleans bathrooms.
• Monitors the warehouse entrances and dock area to deter theft.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to communicate the English language.
• Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy objects (25-50 lbs.).
• Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
• Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

What We Are Looking For In You:

• No formal education or experience required although some experience operating heavy equipment and performing heavy lifting is preferred.
