• A well respected and long-established fresh produce Grower/Packer/Shipper in Hudson Valley NY is expanding.
• Looking for an experienced Sales Assistant to support their sales team within the Northeast.
• This newly created role will support top accounts for the company, as well as work very closely with ownership.

• This role will spend 2-3 days onsite per week, with more initially for onboarding.

• Effectively process and manage customer orders from the time they are received until the product ships, utilizing the company's database system.
• Monitor inventory levels.
• Track customer orders through delivery.
• Ensure special customer requirements are accurate, current, and noted on orders.
• Work effectively with sales personnel to resolve any issues or disparities regarding shipments.
• Implement quick decisions and problem solving in sudden and unplanned situations that can occur in produce sales and production.
• Provide professional customer service in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on process.
• Opportunity for sales growth (sales commission) if desired.

• Successful experience in an administrative or sales support role with a focus on customer service and data entry.
• Previous fresh produce experience is required.
• Strong computer skills are a must, with strong proficiency with Excel and the rest of MS office suite.
• Experience with Famous, iTrade, SPS and/or Foodlink preferred.
• Organized, with strong attention to detail and self-motivated.
• College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study preferred, HS diploma or GED required.
• The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000 (Depending on experience)
