Oversees the SQL Database platform and possesses extensive experience and knowledge in:

• Significant experience automating infrastructure setup and application deployment using best practices of CI/CD with tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps
• Significant experience with clouddatabase services and proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell scripting or Python
• Extensive experience in high availability, replication, backup, and restore/recovery and monitoring databases in Azure cloud.
• Extensive experience in Azure Cloud technologies, Cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, and Cloud Security
• Implement and enforce security best practices for Azure databases.
• 5+ years of experience in migrating on-prem databases to Azure Cloud
• Extensive experience in cloud vNets, Network Security, Network Security Groups/ACLs, Load balancers, Firewalls, private endpoints is plus.
• Resource management and Service level agreements
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:
Extensive experience in cloud database services.

• Hands-on expertise in Terraform.
• Hands-on expertise in Azure Networking, SQL database/VM configuration.
• Hands-on expertise in Scripting with PowerShell, bash, or Python, Azure CLI.
• Advanced proficiency in analytical, project planning, negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral).
• Advanced knowledge of cloud engineering concepts
• Extensive Experience in Cloud Technologies, Cloud Services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, and Cloud Security, Load balancer, Traffic Manager, firewalls, peering, private endpoints, etc.
• Extensive Experience in High Availability, Replication, Backup and Restore/Recovery, Disaster Recovery and Monitoring of Databases in Hybrid Cloud
• Expert knowledge of cloud-based security tools, best practices and policies including demonstrated experience protecting all layers of the application stack
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.

Citizenship or Work Authorization Required : US Citizen
Preferred Education & Experience : 7+ years of experience setting up and configuring cloud services such as Microsoft Azure. 5+ years of experience in migrating on-prem databases to cloud platforms such as Azure. (Azure Experience is preferred), and a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (master's degree preferred), or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
