Position: Shopify Architect - E-Commerce Solutions
Location: Remote - Canada / USA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Architect with deep expertise in e-commerce platforms to design, develop, and optimize scalable, high-performance Shopify solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Shopify Plus architecture, e-commerce best practices, and integration strategies to deliver seamless customer experiences. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including design, development, marketing, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture, and technical strategy for Shopify and Shopify Plus implementations.
• Customize Shopify themes, templates, and Liquid code to meet complex business requirements.
• Architect and integrate third-party applications, APIs, and backend systems to extend Shopify functionality.
• Optimize site performance, security, and scalability to support high-traffic e-commerce operations.
• Define and enforce best practices for coding, version control, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure mobile-first, user-friendly shopping experiences.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Stay up to date with Shopify ecosystem updates, app marketplace trends, and emerging e-commerce technologies.

• 7+ years of professional experience in web development, with at least 4+ years focused on Shopify/Shopify Plus.
• Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex e-commerce projects.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and front-end frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integrations with ERP, CRM, or payment systems.
• Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and conversion optimization principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience with headless commerce and Shopify Hydrogen/Storefront API.
• Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms (Magento, BigCommerce, etc.).
• Background in performance tuning for high-traffic online stores.
