Manufacturing/Production Machine Operators

PrideStaff is currently seeking experienced Manufacturing/Production Machine Operators for an overnight position in the Gulfport MS area.

Work Hours: 6PM - 6AM

Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days on (36 Hours), 4 days off, then 4 days on (48 Hours), 3 days off alternating

Hourly Pay Rate: $19/hr.

Temp-to-Hire: Start as a PrideStaff Temp; roll over to Client Payroll after probationary period

Job Responsibilities of the Machine Operator are but are not limited to:

• Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
• Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn't sticking properly.
• Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.
• Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
• Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
• Start machine by engaging controls.
• Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.
• Count and record finished and rejected packaged items.
• Operate forklift as needed.

Job Requirements of the Machine Operator position are:

• 3-5 Years of recent, consecutive machine operation experience
• Complete required assessments administered by PrideStaff
• Successfully complete background check & drug screen
• Forklift operation experience desired but not required
• Ability to reliably commute to and from job site
• Strong work ethic & commitment to produce product while adhering to company quality standards
