divh2Financial Analyst/h2pThe Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers. The Financial Analyst will:/pulliPerform month-end closing, including journal entries as necessary, explanations of variances vs. forecast/annual plan, and general ledger research to ensure all possible billing opportunities are captured./liliWork closely with Director of Operations, Director of Sales, and Director of Rental to identify and recommend opportunities for cost/productivity improvements./liliEngage in financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis./liliProvide financial training to Business Unit staff, including policies, procedures, and financial tools./liliAct as Business Unit liaison with Ryders Shared Services Center and Ryders Corporate Accounting group./liliPerform other duties as assigned./liliFollow up with tracking/reporting/further recommendations./li/ulpSkills and abilities include:/pulliEffective communication with all levels of management./liliSkillful problem solving, self-motivation, and ability to prioritize work load./liliAbility to think and plan in a proactive and innovative manner./liliMotivated self-starter, able to work with minimal guidance when necessary./liliStrong interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate complex financial/operational information to various levels of the organization./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliBachelors degree required in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field./liliTwo to four years in Finance, Accounting, or Operations, preferred./liliTravel: 10-20%./liliDOT Regulated: No./liliJob Category: Financial Analysis./li/ulpCompensation Information:/ppThe compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidates relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
