The PAYROLL MANAGER will manage all payroll processing duties, coordinate payroll activities, and supervise payroll staff by implementing, maintaning, and reviewing the payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

Provides ad hoc reporting and other documentation to Finance, HR and other authorized parties, audits payroll earnings, deductions and taxes for accuracy, oversees the preparation of all payroll related reports, including governmental and regulatory filings, coordinates and cooperates with external auditors and manage payroll related audit, scales payroll processes with a focus on process improvements and system optimization, oversees all aspects of payroll management including routine payroll processing, tax and benefits compliance and reporting, and SOX compliance, and monitors compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Position Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or computer science or equivalent experience required. Five to six years of previous Payroll, Accounting or Bookkeeping experience required. Two to three years payroll management experience required.

Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and payroll practices, including reparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, must be proficient in data entry using automated accounting systems; accounts payable principles; account balancing, experience leading process improvement initiatives, and be a proven team leader that can optimally identify, develop and manage team members to attain team/individual career goals.
