Job Description

The Desktop Technician is responsible for providing basic support for personal computer equipment moves, and ensuring proper operations of computer-related workstation equipment. The Desktop Technician responds to and assists with end user requests for basic computer or workstation equipment problems.

Responsibilities

• Performs desktop hardware equipment moves and assists with equipment installations
  • Responsible for computer hardware equipment moves following established timeframes
  • Assists with new PC or device installations
  • Utilizes installation checklist to document installations and setup of equipment for end users
  • Provides follow up to end user to ensure device installation and moves are completed according to request
• Provide basic troubleshooting, assistance, and ticket resolution for end user issues
  • Performs basic support for end user issues following user guides or documented manuals or processes
  • Assists with technical support, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution
  • Follows procedures to perform proper device obsoletion
  • Participates in small and large scale PC related projects within the organization
  • Responds to scheduled ticket queues as directed

• High School or GED

• 1 year of experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues and replacing hardware on PC's and other devices

• Interpersonal skills while understanding the needs for a positive customer service experience
• Time-management and organization
