Position Summary: This role is responsible for real-time testing and batch validation using lab equipment to ensure each compound meets defined specifications before release. The position works closely with production teams to maintain batch consistency, monitor deviations, and ensure traceability.

Key Responsibilities

In-Process & Final Batch Testing

• Conduct quality control tests using equipment such as:
• MDR (Moving Die Rheometer)
• Mooney Viscometer
• Tensile Testing Machine
• Density Scale
• Hardness Tester
• Compression Set Tester
• Analyze results and compare with specifications and customer standards.
• Report deviations immediately to quality and production teams.

Batch Release & Line Support

• Support production team in machine setup.
• Perform just-in-time control of test progress.
• Evaluate and release production batches.
• Support adjustments to process parameters based on test outcomes.
• Ensure proper labeling and archiving of results.

Data Handling & Reporting

• Accurately enter test data into lab software or spreadsheets.
• Contribute to SPC (Statistical Process Control) when applicable.
• Assist in creating Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

Sample Management

• Receive, label, and prepare samples.
• Maintain retention archives and ensure traceability.

Instrument Maintenance & Calibration

• Conduct daily checks and scheduled calibrations.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist external technicians.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow lab SOPs, ISO/IATF 16949 standards, and customer requirements.
• Adhere to safety practices, PPE usage, and cleanliness (5S).
• Support audits with documentation and traceability.

Qualifications

Skills

• Familiarity with lab testing procedures and tolerance ranges.
• Ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Proficient in MS Excel or lab information systems (LIMS).

Working Conditions

• Exposure to lab and production environments; occasional heat or noise.
• Standing, walking, and repetitive tasks are part of the job.
• Shift work may be required depending on production needs.
