Job Title: Tableau Developer
Location: Remote

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tableau Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level dashboards and BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tableau, data modelling, SQL, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and high-performance analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Tableau dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical design specifications.
• Develop and optimize data models to support scalable BI reporting.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-optimized data extracts.
• Implement advanced Tableau features such as:
  • Level of Detail (LOD) expressions
  • Table calculations
  • Parameters and dynamic dashboards
  • Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Optimize dashboard performance (live vs extract strategies, indexing, aggregation).
• Publish, manage, and maintain content on Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud.
• Implement governance standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and ETL teams to ensure high-quality data pipelines.
• Conduct user training and provide ongoing support.
• Mentor junior developers and review their dashboards for best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
• 4-7+ years of experience in BI development.
• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, optimization).
• Solid understanding of:
  • Data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema)
  • ETL processes
  • Data modelling techniques
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Experience implementing data governance and security frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Technical Skills

• Tableau Desktop (Advanced)
• Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud Administration
• Tableau Prep (preferred)
• Advanced SQL
• Data Warehousing
• ETL Tools (Alteryx, Informatica, Talend, etc.)
• Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery preferred)
• Basic scripting (Python / R - optional but advantageous)
