Job Overview

AZDOT is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support the CIO's highest-priority strategic initiatives. This role blends executive-level project leadership with hands-on delivery and requires strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project proposals and execution for CIO-driven strategic initiatives
• Act as liaison between the CIO and IT Senior Leadership
• Translate technical requirements into business value, ROI, and strategic alignment
• Develop executive-level presentations and briefing materials
• Manage and maintain the project demand intake queue
• Personally lead 2-3 high-priority CIO-only initiatives outside standard delivery scope
• Serve as rapid-response project leader for urgent executive-level issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in project coordination and project management
• Hands-on experience with project tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification
• Arizona State Project Management Certification
