Description:

Position Overview:
As a Shift Leader, you will effectively oversee operational activities in the absence of management during non-service hours and assist during service hours. Your leadership will guide the team in delivering exceptional service while maintaining efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision:
    • Lead opening and closing activities during non-service hours.
    • Provide clear direction to crew members to ensure smooth operation.
    • Address immediate performance issues and escalate to the unit manager for further action when necessary.
  • Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (Q.S.C.) Standards:
    • Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Ensure adherence to the cleaning plan for the store.
    • Oversee the organization of service lines and staffing during shifts.
    • Evaluate service efficiency and address concerns promptly.
    • Exhibit a positive and engaging customer service attitude at all times.
  • Operational Controls:
    • Adhere to flowcharts, prep projections, and building charts for operations.
    • Monitor labor costs in relation to sales and recommend adjustments.
    • Follow established plans set by the unit manager.
    • Minimize food waste to control food costs.
  • Training and Development:
    • Assist in the training and cross-training of crew members as directed.
  • Compliance with Policies:
    • Follow all procedures outlined in the Operational Procedures Manual.
    • Ensure accurate time card management and compliance with wage/hour regulations.
    • Adhere to cash control and banking policies; understand register procedures.
    • Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols.
    • Guarantee compliance with dress code at all times.
    • Adhere to maintenance procedures and scheduled preventative maintenance duties.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Utilize consistent practices in supervision to maintain a positive team environment.
    • Inform the unit manager of performance or discipline issues with detailed information.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of operational procedures and standards.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the restaurant industry.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
