We seek a skilled Senior Data Scientist for our Medicare Member Experience team to own the end-to-end development of machine learning solutions that directly impact our members. In this role, you will build and deploy predictive models to segment members, optimize our outreach strategies, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction and STARS ratings. As these predictions are integrated into an application, you will also partner closely with the application team to ensure the quality and integrity of your work. This includes performing rigorous testing, validating data from source to display, and contributing code changes to improve tests, fix bugs, and guarantee our solutions are correct, reliable, and maintainable.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years industry experience in data science or machine learning
• 3+ years experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure)
• Proficient in Python, SQL, object-oriented programming, and Git-based version control
• Experience predicting outcomes in highly imbalanced datasets
• Experience deploying machine learning (ML) models in a production environment
• Experience navigating and querying production tables for features correlated with modeling outputs
• Understanding of continuous evaluation of models in production using CI/CD patterns and awareness of tooling to support monitoring
• Experience translating business requirements into actionable insights and ML solutions.
• Experience reviewing production-quality code, including participation in peer code/ pull-request reviews
• Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance: designing tests, validating requirements, and communicating defects clearly
• Good communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science or related field.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Ability to effectively lead data science projects from start to finish, mentor junior colleagues, and drive data science initiatives.
• Experience with healthcare data, especially in the customer service domain
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform tools (e.g., BigQuery, VertexAI, Composer)
• Experience with parallelized applications for data science, such as Apache Spark and Apache Beam (DataProc, DataFlow)
• Experience with data visualization products or analytics dashboards
• Understanding of web application fundamentals (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and how front-end and back-end integrate
• Advanced degree in data science, statistics, computer science or related field.
