Description:

As a Lead Safety Supervisor, you will have a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and management of robust safety protocols, occupational health initiatives, and fire protectionstandards.

Based in Corpus Christi, TX, you will assess Health & Safety performance across various projects and produce detailed reports with actionable recommendations to enhance safety practices for project teams. Your role will also involve reviewing and assisting with the training of operational personnel to cultivate a strong culture of safety.

You will take charge in leading teams towards consistent improvements in critical safety metrics, identifying gaps in our Health & Safety programs, and investigating incidents of personal injuries and property damage. Preparing essential documentation and reports while adhering to established procedures and regulatory requirements is vital. Additionally, you will assist your team in issuing necessary entry permits and conduct industrial hygiene sampling, including gas and noise testing to ensure safe working environments.

Your technical expertise will be crucial as you mentor professionals in the field, helping them identify their motivations and supporting their growth and development.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field
    • 12-15 years of full-time experience in a Health & Safety role
    • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory Health & Safety position
    • Experience managing large projects with diverse work environments
    • Background in both construction and general industry settings
    • Proficient in conducting safety training presentations
    • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Willingness to travel and work on-site at project locations
    • Valid driver's license with no major infractions
    • Strong interpersonal and personnel management abilities
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and familiarity with federal, state, and local agency requirements
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field
