Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:
Supports sponsorship portfolio in Maryland and DC. Works cross-functionally with divisions internally and external partners to plan and execute each partnership successfully; also supports media relations and social team to generate coverage for key events and activations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Establishes sponsorship market presence by developing strategic marketing and sales plans, publicizing sponsored events. Identifies potential sponsors by researching and collecting competitive intelligence; exploring leads; evaluating opportunities.

• Support sponsorship and event processes and serves as the point person with vendors and partners to coordinate details including billing, promotion, and other logistics.

• Supports the activation of sponsorship assets focused on growing CareFirst brand awareness and favorability.

• Helps to keep accurate and updated records of all contacts and assets. Supports the assessment of each sponsorship and event effectiveness and report regularly on key metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 1 year experience in corporate sponsorship or events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Demonstrated success in planning, project management/coordination and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Strong event planning skillset, both pre and post event.

Salary Range: $50,400 - $100,100
