Railroad Project Manager

Location: Onsite, Southaven, MS

Direct Hire | $65,000 – $85,000 + Bonus + Vehicle

Are you a hands-on leader with experience in railroad construction or heavy civil projects? This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you will own projects from start to finish and work directly with industry-leading railroad clients across the Southeast.

We are partnering with a well-established railroad construction and maintenance contractor seeking a Rail Project Manager to lead field operations, manage crews, and drive projects to successful completion safely, on time, and within budget.

What You'll Do

• Lead the full lifecycle of railroad construction and maintenance projects
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls to ensure profitability
• Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and equipment coordination
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with FRA, OSHA, and railroad safety standards
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
• Identify risks early and implement solutions to avoid delays and overruns
• Partner with estimating and operations teams during project planning
• Build strong client relationships and support ongoing business growth

What You Bring

• 5+ years of project management experience in railroad, track, or heavy civil construction
• Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure, maintenance-of-way, or similar environments
• Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors in the field
• Proven ability to manage budgets and control project costs
• Working knowledge of FRA regulations and safety compliance
• Ability to travel regionally to job sites as needed
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Class I or short-line railroads
• PMP certification
• Background in environmental or infrastructure-related projects
