American Baitworks is looking for a Social Content Producer who lives and breathes short-form content. This role is for someone who understands how to stop the scroll, hold attention, and turn ideas into high-performing vertical video. You're equal parts storyteller, shooter, and editor-and you know how to make brands feel native to the feed. This is an onsite role that requires daily commute to our office in Ocean Springs, MS.
What You'll Do
Concept, shoot, and edit short-form video content optimized for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Craft compelling, retention-first storytelling that keeps viewers watching to the last second
Translate brand and product narratives into engaging, platform-native content
Stay on top of trends, formats, and cultural moments-and move fast to capitalize on them
Collaborate with marketing team to bring ideas to life
Iterate quickly based on performance data and audience behavior
What We're Looking For
A true student of vertical content and what makes it work
Proven ability to create high-retention short-form videos
Strong shooting and editing skills (you can do both, and do them well)
Deep understanding of pacing, hooks, and storytelling in under 60 seconds
Experience creating content for brands, products, or campaigns
A sharp eye for detail and instinct for what feels native vs. forced
Proficient in Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
Bonus Points
You've built or contributed to a high-performing social channel
You're comfortable being scrappy and moving fast in a test-and-learn environment
You're what we'd call a "shorts GOAT"
