About SR1
At SR1, we build educational platforms and applications that better serve our community. Our work sits at the intersection of education, agriculture, and technology — and every product we ship is designed to expand access, deepen learning, and create measurable impact for the people we serve.
We move quickly, build boldly, and keep improving until we find what truly works. We accept that we will get it wrong many times along the way. Each attempt is a chance to learn, iterate, and move closer to a product that creates real value at scale.

Who We're Looking For
We're hiring for mindset first, skills second. The right teammate will have an entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, ready to take ownership, and excited to build things that haven't existed before.
Key Assets We're Looking For
We've defined what a great SR1 teammate looks like, and we hold ourselves accountable to it:
- Kind — keeps the team respectful.
- Creative — brings ideas and flexibility.
- Honest — builds trust.
- Reliable — others can count on you.
- Communicative — strengthens teamwork.
- Intellectually curious — willing to read, research, and keep learning.
- Caring — keeps people at the center of what we do.
Beyond these, great teammates at SR1 also:
- Move quickly and build boldly — bias to action, comfortable shipping and iterating.
- Think strategically about impact — always asking how what we build can reach, serve, and positively impact the greatest number of people.
- Take ownership — see a problem, own the solution from end to end.
- Stay learner-first — view every misstep as data and every iteration as progress.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of user experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and supportive of our community's educational needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to research, learn, and adapt to unfamiliar systems, tools, and technologies, enabling effective problem-solving and rapid contribution across new environments.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of our web platforms (primarily CMS-based, e.g., Wix).
- Maintain and support our Salesforce ecosystem, including development and integrations needed for our CRM.
- Support multi-functional needs across the EdTech team — collaborating with learning designers on educational tools and experiences, and partnering with data systems to ensure data-driven value generation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization (Education, Agriculture, Marketing) to understand needs and translate them into effective digital solutions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of specific features or projects — from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, and deployment.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, system improvements, and emerging technologies (including AI where relevant).
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our digital systems.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong full-stack development experience (frontend + backend).
- Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with UX/UI design tools such as Figma (or similar), with the ability to translate designs into functional user experiences.
- Experience working with CMS platforms (Wix or similar)
- Salesforce development experience — familiarity with Apex, Lightning components, and Salesforce APIs (or a strong willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Java, or similar) and experience building and maintaining services or APIs.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern development workflows.
- Basic familiarity with SQL or working with structured data.
- Ability to manage multiple systems in a lean team environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A systems thinker who can build and connect tools and platforms with strong user empathy.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and a continuous learner — always curious.
- Genuinely interested in leveraging technology to improve educational access and outcomes
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small, mission-driven team.
Why Join SR1
- Mission that matters. Every line of code helps expand educational access for our community.
- Real ownership. You'll lead features end to end, not just pick up tickets.
- Lean, builder-friendly team. Fewer layers, faster iteration, more impact per person.
- In-person collaboration. This is an on-site role — you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our EdTech, Education, Agriculture, and Marketing teams, where ideas move faster and relationships go deeper.
- Room to grow. As our EdTech department scales, this role grows with it.
