The Field Service Technician-Electric Power Generation is responsible for the troubleshooting/diagnostics, repair/overhaul, and preventive maintenance of Caterpillar and allied electric power generation products (generators, switchgear systems), primarily during service calls at customer locations, using a field service truck in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner. This position will require working hours in addition to the normal work schedule and for emergency calls. Perform all required maintenance, inspections, load banking, troubleshooting and repair of engine and electrical related systems, commissioning of engines/generators and coordination, maintenance and/or commissioning of transfer switch and switchgear systems in accordance with all prescribed quality and safety standards.
