divh2Job Description/h2pstrongPosition Summary/strong/ppA laborer/Fire watch will assist with various manual needs of the construction work being performed at a new construction site including but not limited to moving equipment, digging, retrieving equipment, standing by for fire safety and any other work instructed by a supervisor or journeyman./ppstrongQualification Highlights/strong/pp Must be able to meet all physical demands see below./pp Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed/pp Must pass pre-employment requirements (health/drug screen)/ppstrongPosition Responsibilities/strong/pp Position may perform a large range of manual activities including but not limited to moving equipment, digging, retrieving equipment, standing by for fire safety, and any other work instructed by a supervisor or a journeyman./pp Use fire extinguisher./pp Climb on to structures and Scaffolding./pp Follows direction from supervisor/ppstrongRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/strong/pp Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools./pp Good problem-solving abilities/pp Good aptitude and manual dexterity/pp Good reading comprehension/pp Ability to work with others team player/pp Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors/pp Commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations/ppstrongPreferred Qualifications/strong/pp Zachry ROFed employee./pp Former Zachry Employee./pp Basic mechanical knowledge./pp Experience on an industrial construction site/pp Formal/technical education./ppstrongReports to Position/strong/pp This position does not have any direct reports./ppstrongPhysical Requirements/strong/pp Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting./pp Will talk and hear to communicate./pp Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls./pp Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull: objects, materials, controls and tools./pp May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs./pp Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off of platforms./pp Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision./pp Must be capable of working out side in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long period of times up to 12 hours a day./pp Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots./ppstrongRequired Tools/strong/pp No tools Required./ppstrongZACHRY is dedicated in providing a Safe and Drug Free work environment; and is an Equal Opportunity Employer./strong/p/div
